New York City Rooftop Farm
Thursday, August 27, 2009
A 6,000 square-foot rooftop farm in New Your is commercially growing fruits and vegetables for restaurants in the area. The restaurants are flocking to the farm to buy fresh produce.
The rooftop farm also helps fight pollution by way of the plants absorbing carbon dioxide from the air.

Roof top farms
Posted 28 Aug 09 2:35 PM
This is a brilliant idea! City areas are consuming more and more of our green spaces and if we can bring the green spaces into the cities then we can have the best of both. It makes sense to use those otherwise unused spaces for growing plants and bringing nature into the city.
