Someone was telling me about a mexican substitute for Coriander but I can't recall what it was. Does anyone know what this might be?

Would that be Cilantro. It's funny that I say cilantro to Kiwi they find it weird... I always thought that Coriander and Cilantro were the same thing...

Yes Coriander and Cliantro are both the same plant. Try and get slow bolt variety and sow direct as it hates transplanting, don't forget that you can eat the roots, leaf, stem and seeds.
