Hi i've done a bit of online reading on how to propagate figs. People recommend all kinds of things, but mainly keep in shade area once the cutting is on soil.

Has anyone had any luck in propagating figs? If So What variety and under what conditions?

Figs sucker easily so if you know someone with a tree look foe young shoots coming from the base of the tree, you can usually dig around and cut off a new shoot with root, pot it off and away. If there are no shoots about you should be able to strike a cutting easily enough.

Don't bother trying to grow the seeds from the fruit itself.
