Hi,

My friend is wanting to grow some purslane. Does anyone know where she can obtain some seed?

Thanks!

Try again (as the web glitch ate my first attempt), apologies if this appears twice as I’m a better gardener then geek!

I have this weed growing in my lawn and while I’ve never rated it as a vege the chooks love it. If you do want it for eating (great in Omega 3 apparently) grow it in a pot as the leaves are better and less bitter. You can get it from Kings Seeds, or look around catalogues for it under its botanical name Portulaca oleracea

Not to be confused with Miner’s lettuce or Winter Purslane (Claytonia perfoliata) which is another edible weed.

Thanks, that's very helpful and I was just planning to place an order with Kings so timely too!
