Dying worms...
Posted 30 Dec 11 5:53 PM
Hi there...we're having a substantial amount of rain in Auckland at the moment, and I am wondering if this could be contributing to alot of worms on the top of the soil in my vege garden? Or is there some deficiancy I need to be looking into.
Thanks for any suggestions...regards, 'Rookie-Gardener.'

Poor darlings are getting out of the sodden soil. Some will die .... actually many will die. All part of the gardening experience! There will still be plenty of worms when the rains stop.

There could be a lot of factors that could contribute to how they are to fair up. Usually you attribute that to organisms that start to live within your plant box, or chemicals that mix well with the rainfall.
You best bet is to have things checked just so you would know that your plants are not going to be affected by it, at least not too much.
