can some one tell what this plant is, as it was given to me from a friend by a friend and they didn"t know what is was.

Looks like a Karaka tree to me.

Uh...no. Pleome is a genus of Orchids, this looks nothing like an orchid plant.....

Sorry, that should say Pleione, the closest reference to Pleome i could come up with. Pleomele is the other, and it again looks nothing like this.
