Garden description:
Two years ago we bought this 100+ year old villa that had a huge back yard with a falling down clothes line, a few bushes, a big empty garden, 4 inch thick ugly concrete paths and a concrete brick coal bin on it.
Since then my husband has completely redisigned it.
He smashed up the concrete paths and made a curving stepping path down the side, and a concrete slab wall down the back,
created curved gardens,
built 3 fish ponds,
demolished the coal bin,
made a waterfall,
put up trellises,
brick edged all the gardens,
bricked a sitting area by the back door with raised herb garden,
built me a chicken coop and is now in the process of building a garden shed down the back.
He is AMAZING!!!. With everything he has done he has recycled things people didnt want.
The photos show before and after pics.
This is our first house and the first time I have ever gardened. We have absolutely no idea what goes where, what plants are called, (or even if it is a weed) and where they should be planted. Its all trial and error, if something survives winter it stays!
I hope you enjoy my piece of paradise. :)
