Scarecrow is still doing a great job keeping the birds off the ripe Tayberries. I harvested some berries this morning with my grandaughter Emily. I move scarecrow around several times a day so the birds are still wary of her : )

The cinerarias were starting to look past their best, so some have been uprooted today and taken out onto the garden through the gate to the railway land. I hope they will self seed there for food for the larvae of both the magpie and cinnabar moths. They're funny things cinerarias coming up everywhere except where they are particularly wanted! Today we have planted three echium pininana. More beetroot seed sown yesterday and more baby beans too.
